30 minutes of daily exercise is also one of the most important factors for good heart health. If you devote time now to exercising, your body — and your heart — will repay you later in life.

Take slow, deep breaths. It'll regulate your heartbeat and lower your blood pressure

Also fill up on fiber, which you can get from grains, fruits and vegetables. Sprinkle less salt; use spices to add flavor.

Several clinical studies show that the content of phytosterols from almonds at 34 mg to 30 g or 25 almonds, decrease the concentration of 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) in the body. Hypercholesterolaemia may lead to cardiac disorders as 'bad' cholesterol, after having supplied bodies, is deposited in the arteries and, in the case of surplus, the risk of clogging. According to epidemiologiques2 data, a daily intake of 30 g almonds would reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by 45%. Vitamin E contained in the kernel (7.5 mg of vitamin E for 25 almonds or half the daily recommendation in vitamin E) would also help combat cardiovascular diseases by preventing the formation of clots in the blood
