Organic VS Conventional in regards to healthier depends on how you qualify healthier. I don't think they define it as I do which is 1. nutrient diversity 2. nutrient amounts and 3. long term risk and prevention
1. I believe they have the same diversity of nutrients.
2. Getting the amount of nutrients in foods can be trickier because there is some variability in it, overall I feel that a solid organic food product will have more nutrients but that depends on the fertilization process done at the farm and to scientists they may feel that this amount is not statistically significant.
3. Lastly, in general pesticides, herbicides and fungacides kill things. Some are persistent. When tested on fish or mice (sorry little guys) they tend to result in cancer or other illnesses. so in theory organic should be healthier as it avoid more dangerous kinds. I say that because big organic farmers use organic certified killing agents. lastly, organic is supposed to protect from GMO. While I'm not against GMO's when done properly- the majority of gmo's are done to make products more killing agent resistent so they can spray more persistent chemicals on it (bad in my mind) or to make the plant itself a killing agent (that for sure can't be good for us to eat).
Just my views from the few articles I've read on it.
