What are the pros and cons of buying organic foods?

Postby PlentyWell » Wed May 04, 2016 6:54 pm

I recently interviewed Dr. Lisa R. Young, an internationally recognized nutritionist and portion control expert about her thoughts on the organic foods. http://www.plentywell.com/pros-cons-buy ... nic-foods/ She recommended eating organic foods in particular to the “dirty “dozen”—i.e., apples, lettuce. I have also started buying organic food such as organic apples, organic pomegranate, organic flour, organic tea and organic baby foods etc. However, this has slightly increased my grocery budget. But I am fine with it as it gives me satisfaction that I am feeding healthier and safer food to my family and kids. What are your thoughts on advantages and disadvantages of eating organic foods?

I must say that there are trully MORE PROS than cons about the organic foods...

First, no pesticides. :P
Second, much better taste and aroma. :D
Third, very little transportation (= less carbon dioxid emissions!), :P
...
...
and finnaly, buying from the nearest farm you not only support the local (organic) food production but also keep jobs etc.! :D

Awaring of the benefits the natural food has on our health...I try to eat that valuable foods every day. :)

Sheers!
