I also have colitis and diverticulitis. Upon receipt of diahrrea 4 months and numerous tests, they found that there was nothing to do but watch my diet. I have had episodes of ill off and on since the autumn. I have an appointment with a dietitian at the end. I've been recording everything I eat and write, carbohydrates, fats, and a CAL for each to take with me. The implementation of this I am doing what triggers relapses. Wholemeal bread to kill. I can not stand white bread, potatoes, but can not tolerate the sauce spaghetti. Can I eat vegetables, but go quickly for me. I was in Weight Watchers two weeks, and was 7 pounds and was suffering all the time. The best that had been tolerated in the diet Atkins, but it was so boring. I could use it again I see a dietitian. I hope you find relief soon. I know how painful it is.

The Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) is a nutritional regimen, created by Dr. Sidney V. Haas and popularized by biochemist and author Elaine Gottschall, which restricts the use of complex carbohydrates (disaccharides and polysaccharides) and eliminates refined sugar, all grains and starch from the diet. It is promoted as a way of reducing the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, coeliac disease and autism. Gottschall believed that, due to damage to the microvili in the body, these microvili lack the ability to break down specific types of carbohydrates (i.e., disaccharides and polysaccharides), resulting in dysbiosis, the overgrowth of harmful bacterial flora. In a 1924 study, Haas reported, "In cases which the diet can be controlled for a sufficient long time, recovery ensues in every instance and without nutritional relapse.

The treatment usually consist of medications or some cases which are too severe to be addressed by medicines, may require surgical removal of the affected part of the large intestine. Apart from this, an ischemic colitis diet is also an important part of the treatment plan.

I agree on you. Ischemic Colitis Diet really helped me in my diet problems. I had easier moments with this kind of diet and I really get the body that I want.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet Program: Any success?

Postby DevonaIrish » Sat Jul 14, 2012 10:23 am

I've been looking for a healthy eating plan and I found out about this diet program today called Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Although the name is a little degrading, I was wondering if anyone's tried it and if it actually works. I know that it involves a personal diet plan, and even though it is personal, can someone give me a sample of what this diet told them to eat? I just want to get a feel for if this is worth forking out twenty dollars.
