Weight loss medication that work?

Postby yudelkamartinez » Mon Apr 20, 2015 6:28 am

Even so called diet pills that work in drug company trials seem to fail to help people to sustain weight loss, and many GPs like me rarely prescribed any of them anyway. I am afraid there are no quick fixes. Weight loss needs time, commitment and dedication. So called dieters, effectively looking for something to lose weight for them are doomed to fail.

The worse news is that 2 in 3 actually end up heavier! (university of California study.) Weight loss requires dedication, time and commitment. http://weightloss201.weebly.com/

The problem with your question is that if you look in "search for questions" it comes up 30 times every day. I have had some criticism for repeatedly using the same answer, but since I am happy with my answer, and the questions are the same, I don't see the issue with recycling the same answer

Diet meds, as you say, are all around a failure. Many of them are likely causing problems, as probably numerous diet pills do, see for instance a famous diet pill advertised by Dr. Oz as a candidate for contributing to diabetes - http://www.supplements-and-health.com/g ... fects.html

Reducing your intake of junk sugar will help. Foods or drinks such as coke and other soft drinks, desserts, sweets, cakes, cookies or biscuits must be eliminated or substantially reduced.
Cereals must be restricted to those that contain less than 15% total sugars and junk sugar loaded foods such as pizzas must be avoided. Junk sugar bowls must be abolished.
Oatmeal, oat bran, wheat bran and wheat germ are good cereals that can help for weight loss.
